LAKELAND - Bruce Barbour Bodine, 88, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to heart failure. Born December 28, 1922 in Muskegon, MI, Mr. Bodine moved to Florida in 1971 and was a successful businessman in the family owned and operated Bodine Printing & Copy Center. He was a U.S. Army and Air Force veteran. Mr. Bodine is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Lorraine Bodine of Lakeland, sons, Bruce Bodine and wife Mary Kay, and Mark Bodine and wife Caren, all of Lakeland, daughters, Debbie Seelye of Tampa and Valerie Bodine of Lakeland; six grandchildren, Bruce Bodine and wife Amy, Danielle Boles and husband Josh, Shannon and Kelly Seelye, and Jet and Ava Bodine; eight great-grandchildren, Ansley, Claudia, and Holly Claire Bodine, Gavin, Gwendolyn, and Gunnar Boles, and Zack and Jadyn Seelye, and brother, John Bodine of Michigan. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 1-2 PM at Heath Funeral Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 2 PM. Donations may be made to the SPCA, 5850 Brannen Rd.
