QUINCY -- Alice M. Strieby, 100, passed away Oct. 9, 2018, in her home in Pottstown, Pa. Alice was formerly a longtime resident of Quincy. She was born in Kansas City, Kan., on May 19, 1918, to Katherine and Jesse Bodine. She married Frank M. Strieby on Oct. 11, 1940. They had four children: Stuart of Southampton, N.J., Michael (Ardis) of Evergreen, Colo., and Jane Sutera of Pottstown, Pa. Alice was proceeded in death by her husband; her parents; her siblings Agnes Clune, Ralph, Richard and James Bodine; and her son, James, Jane's twin brother. She is survived by her sister Louise Fleetwood of Belton, Mo., and nine grandchildren: Stephanie (Rob) Rowe of Pottstown, Pa., Scott (Ashley) Sutera of Omaha, Neb., Jon Strieby of Denver, Colo., Kelli Strieby of New York, N.Y., Stephen (Mary) Strieby of Twenty Nine Palms, Calif., Justin (Jessica) Strieby of Easley, S.C., Jessica (Jon) Sauser of St. Charles, Ill., Jenna (Jeff) Monger of Kansas City, Mo., and James (Liza) Strieby of Edwardsville, Kan. She was blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Jacob, Nicholas and Sarah Jane Rowe; Everett and Griffin Sauser; Will Strieby; and Julian Monger. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews as well many great-nieces and nephews. SERVICES: A private burial service will be held in Quincy at a later date.
