In 1942, Jess Bodine, of Kenneth, Johnson County, Kansas, registered for the World War II Draft and reported he was born 7 June 1889 in Missticki Sumileski, Russia; that he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka, and named Joseph Goodman of Kansas City as next of kin.

Mrs. Katherine Marie Bodine, 86, Overland Park, died Sunday at Baptist Medical Center. She was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Bodine was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Overland Park. Her husband, Jess Bodine, died in 1960. She leaves two sons, Richard J. Bodine of the home and James J. Bodine, St. Charles, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Alice M. Strieby, Quincy, Ill., Mrs. Agnes L. Clune, Meriam, and Mrs. Louise A. Fleetwood, Grandview; a sister, Mrs. Ann Anderson, Kansas City; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church; burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Muehlebach Chapel, where the rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the church memorial fund.

Jesse and Katherine Bodine were buried in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Lenexa, Johnson County, Kansas.
