Notes for: Dorothy Wycliffe
From the letters in the Radcliffe Box at the Society of Genealogists in London, she may have a sister named Phyllis Wycliffe. She may be the daughter of the William Wycliffe who was the son of Thomas Wycliffe and Mary Young. This Dorothy and William had descendants, quite a ways down the line, who moved to America. That William Wycliffe was supposedly a tailor-merchant in London.
See The Registers of St. Michael le Belfrey, York, Co. Yorkshire, England, v. 1, Part 1, 1565-1653, published 1899, p. 180: Weddings 1634 for the record of Dorothy and William's marriage.
