Born Leroy Floyd Fisk, he was the son of Floyd L. and Mildred Violet (Stout) Fisk. His parents had married 2 Jan 1930 in King County, Washington. Following the marriage of his mother to Daniel Bodine, he assumed the name Bodine, by which he was subsequently known. In the 1973 newspaper obituary of Daniel Bodine he is referred to as the latter's stepson.

June 30, 1931 to December 4, 2023 - Leroy (Roy) Bodine, born on 30, 1931 in Hotchkiss, Colorado, was the son of Mildred and Dan Bodine. Roy grew up in Portland and was a graduate of Gresham High School where he was the student body president. Roy served in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sargeant from 1950 - 1954. He graduated from Portland State University and married his high school sweetheart, Wilma Aukland. Roy, a long time Oregon Ducks Football season ticket holder, loved attending away games with family and friends. He enjoyed family vacations to Central Oregon, the Oregon Coast, Southern California and Hawaii. He retired from Multnomah County Community Action Agency where he was employed as an accountant. Roy is survived by Wilma, his four children; Linda (and Joe), Connie (and Jim), Jennifer (and Tim) and Patrick (and Jim). He is also survived by three grandchildren; Kaia (and Chris), Tim (and Sierra) and Lauren (and Randy), as well as three great-grandchildren - Mason, Luna and Royce. A remembrance service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on December 14, 2023 at 11am. Arrangements made by Gresham Memorial Chapel.
