In June 1900, G. Robert Bodine, born April 1890, lived with his parents in Tyler County, West Virginia and in April 1910, as Robert Bodine, age 21 and single, lived with his parents in Sumner, Lawrence County, Illinois. On 5 June 1917, in Dickinson County, Iowa, George Robert Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft. He reported he had been born 18 April 1889 in Duke Centre, Pennsylvania, worked as a printer and was married.
Edna Angle was the daughter of Jacob and Sarah Angle with whom she lived in 1900 in Petty, Lawrence County, Illinois then aged 8, born in Illinois in November 1891. She still lived with her parents in April 1910. By Dec 1914, she and Robert were married as a photograph of the couple included the notation Robert Bodine, Edna Angle Bodine, New Hampton, Ia., Dec 1914. When Robert registered for the World War I draft in June 1917 he reported he was married, but by Jan1920 he and Edna had divorced and he was married to Madeline. Edna Bodine was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lawrence County, Illinois.

In 1942, George Robert Bodine of 109 Bradford St., Dayton, Ohio, registered for the World War II draft. He reported he was born 18 April 1889 in Duke Center, McKane County, Penn., that he was employed by the Keystone Co. of 109 Bradford St., and that Margaret Bankard, of 535 Richard St., Dayton, was his next of kin.
