From Clermont County, Ohio Marriage Records:
Thomas C. Bodine, 33 AND Emma J. Duckwall [sic], 26 were married 1 Feb 1881 by A. Bowers.
Thomas C. Bodine, age 34 and single, lived June 1880 with his mother in Columbia, Hamilton County and worked as a school teacher. In the Nov 1884 newspaper article of the suicide of Hiram Bodine, it was noted that Hiram had had a demeted brother who had shot himself. This must refer to Thomas Bodine who was the only surviving brother following the deaths in the Civil War of two other brothers.
The will of Thomas C. Bodine of Madisonville, Hamilton County, was written 18 April 1882 and therein named his wife Emma Duckwell Bodine as executrix. He specifically noted "The part relating to my sisters I have erased and give them nothing the same they gave me on my wedding day." The will was proved 10 Aug 1882.
