Standish P. Bodine, husband of Mrs. Ruth Peterson Bodine of Wiggins Road, Owasco, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 18, 1981, at Auburn Memorial Hospital, after being stricken at his home. Born in Owasco, he has lived there for thirty-five years. Mr. Bodine was a graduate of Wanakena Forest Ranger School. Mr. Bodine constructed power lines for the Sardoni Construction Company of Pennsylvania. He was a member ot the Owasco Reformed Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers No. 1249. He was a past fire comjmissioner of the Owasco Fire Department. Mr. Bodine was an Army veteran of World War II and was decorated with the Silver Star tor his gallantry during the Battle of the Bulge. Surviving besides his wife are several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services tor Mr. Bodine will be Wednesday, January 21, 1981 at 4 pm at the Langham Funeral Home, 91 Fast Genesee Street, Auburn. Rev Kenneth Jongeling will officiate. Burial will be in Owasco Rural Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours at the Langham Funeral Home will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. Friends wishing to make memorial contributions may do so to the Owasco Reformed Church Building Fund in memory of Mr. Bodine.
