Carolyn H. Bodine, of 251 Caledonia St., Lockport, received a decree of divorce from Melvin G. Bodine, of Quaker Road, Barker. They were married in Lockport Oct. 29, 1954. The mother received custody of two children and $120 a month support. The father retained visitation rights. [Note: Carolyn Bodine married 2ndly, William A. Slater and 3rdly on 5 Jan 2001 in Seffner, Florida to Thomas William Curtis.]

Miss Grace Elaine Starks became the bride of Melvin George Bodine Saturday at Asbury Methodist Church in Bradford, Pa. The Rev. Harold Blish officiated at the service uniting the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Starks, 1707 Quaker St., Barker, and the son of Mrs. George Bodine of Quaker Road and the late Mr. Bodine.
Melvin Bodine was buried in Somerset Cemetery, Somerset, Niagara County, New York. Grace (Starks) Bodine is the daughter of Henry W. Starks.
The newspaper obituary of Paul G. Slater in the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times of 26 Feb 1989 names, among his survivors, his parents William A. and Carolyn H. Slater of St. Petersburg; brother Jeffrey Bodine of Germantown, Maryland and sister Judy Bodine of Milton, Florida.
