...Howard would have been my great uncle. Howard was my grandmothers brother. Her name is Sybil Bodine, one of Howard's 3 sisters Ariel and Marguerite (both deceased).

Are you Monte's son?

My 98 year old granny and I were talking about him and I went online and found your page and it matched both of her parents. Granny's Father was Hugo and her mother was Jenny. Do any of these names sound familiar?

...

Thanks so much.

Thank you, Dave.
Vincent Hugo Bodine, who went by Hugo, had 3 daughters. His spousal info is correct with Jenny.
Ariel, Sybil and Margeurite. I have no idea why Sybil is missing. It bummed her out actually lol. Anyway she was born in Portland on August 20, 1921 and currently resides in King City, Oregon. Her husband (deceased in 2005) was Lester “Babe” Fisher (no middle name). They had 2 daughters. Jerry and Laura. Laura is my mother and lives in Arizona. Jerry died about 8-10 years ago. Maybe more. I'll ask my granny when she did die. My mother, Laura Fisher married Richard Frank Mattern (deceased 2013) and I am the middle of 3 children and only male. My siblings are Tracy born 1966, me Scott Richard Mattern 1969 and Kelly 1970. Please let me know how I can assist further. I'm new I to genealogy and thanks so much for all the work you've done. My granny was able to confirm the data was accurate. Glad to help. Thanks again.

From Ronny Bodine:

In April 1910, Hugo Bodin, a saloon barkeeper, lived in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Jennie, and son Howard. He reported he had immigrated to America in 1903. In one year of marriage, Jennie had borne one child. In April 1930, Hugo Bodine still lived in Portland and now worked as a stevedore. The deaths of Hugo and Jennie were recorded by the state of Oregon under the name Bodine.
