Miss Clara Louise Bodine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Bodine, of Long Valley and David Emile Benoist, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emile Benoist, of Hackettstown, were married 22 Aug 1948 in the Zion Lutheran Church at Long Valley with Rev. George R. Kochler officiating.

Mrs. Clara Louise Bodine Benoist, age 87 of Douglas, GA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday afternoon, June 9, 2018. Mrs. Benoist, a native of Washington, New Jersey, was born May 6, 1931 to the late Robert A. Bodine and the late Laura Andrews Bodine. Mrs. Benoist enjoyed her hobbies of art and crafts and reading. Survivors include: Her husband of 70 Years: David E. Benoist of Douglas, GA; 3 Children: David and Peggy Benoist of Corpus Christi, TX, Suzanne and Paul Goodman of Douglas, GA, Lisa and Tony Jaworowski of Douglas, GA; 2 Brothers: Robert Bodine of Hackettstown, NJ, Alfred Bodine of Merritt Island, FL 1 Sister: Thelma Boice of Seneca, SC; 4 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchilden. The funeral service will be Tuesday morning, June 12, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Dr. Shep Johnson officiating. The interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning, June 12, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital PO Box 1000 Dept 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908. Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
