John Rodney Bodine, of Fort Myer, VA, born 9 Aug 1946 in NJ, son of John Walter Bodine & Gladys May Trimble AND Judith Ann Carlson, of Arlington, VA, born 13 Oct 1948 in MD, dau. of Howard Clarence Carlson & Lillian Melvina Cramer, were married 24 Oct 1970 in Arlington by Rev. Howard C. Clarkson, Baptist Minister.

John Rodney Bodine, age 76, of Fort Seybert, WV, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Bayhealth Hospital in Dover, Delaware. He was born on August 9, 1946, in Asbury Park, NJ, the son of the late May Gladys (Trimble) Bodine and the late John Walter Bodine, Jr. John was formerly married to Judith Ann Carlson of Franklin, WV. John was a graduate of Neptune High School in Neptune, NJ. He was a Baptist by faith and recently became a member of the Redeeming Grace Outreach Worship Center in Franklin, WV. John was a Veteran of the US Navy, where he served for 20 years right out of high school. He retired from the US Navy in 1986 where he was last stationed in Sugar Grove, WV. After retirement, John enjoyed several different jobs, lastly being with a cabinet shop for Hugh Gilbert. John also enjoyed woodworking, "tinkering" on small projects and helping numerous members of the community. John leaves behind to cherish his memories: a daughter, Melissa Anderson (David) of Santa Clara, CA; 3 sons, Jeffery Bodine of Earlysville, VA, Christopher Bodine of Fair Oaks, CA, Andrew "Drew" Bodine (Andrea) of Franklin, WV; a sister, Margaret D'Amico of Neptune, NJ; a brother, Gordon Bodine of NJ; and a grandson, Carter Andrew Bodine. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews along with extended friends and family. In honoring John's wishes, his body will be cremated with a private interment at a later date.
