On 5 June 1917, William Christian Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Chicago, Illinois. He reported he was born 20 March 1893 in Port Washington, Wisconsin, was single, and worked as a grocery clerk in Chicago. He signed the registration form with the name Bodine. In Jan 1920, he lived in Chicago with his sister Mary Bodin. His death was recorded under the name William Bodin.

William Christian Bodin was the youngest son of William Cales Bodin and Sarah Segri Germanson, born on 20 Mar 1893 in Port Washington, Wisconsin. He lived in Port Washington thru the 1905 census, but when his father died in 1908 he ended up in Chicago, possible living with older sister Amanda Corrigan. In the 1930 census he was listed as owning a grocery store and delicatessen in Chicago. In the 1940 census he was listed as living in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin working for a soft drink bottler after his wife Florence passed away in 1936. His death certificate says he died in Las Vegas, Nevada on 16 Sep 1967. He was buried along side his wife Florence in Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Dupage, Illinois.
William married Florence A. Spivey (8 Sep 1898 in Carmi, White, Illinois and died on 22 Aug 1936 in ook County, Illinois). They are in section L, block 295, graves 1 and 2. They are survived by Iva May Bodin (abt 1929) and son William J. Bodin (1931-2008). William J. is buried next to his parents in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Illinois.

Iva May is William J.'s sister. I could not find any mention of his wife. He did have 2 children according to his obituary. Karen Bodin, 1 Mar 1957 Chicago, Cook, married to Brian Phelps, and William Bodin the 4th, posssibly born about 1960.
