In June 1900, Charlie Bodin lived with his family in Ishpening, Marquette County, Michigan and working as an iron ore miner. He reported that in 13 years of marriage his wife had borne 8 children of whom 7 were living. In Jan 1920, Charles Bodine lived with his family in Rockford, Winnebago County, Illinois. He reported having immigrated in 1883 and being naturalized in 1886. He worked as a shipping clerk at a milling machine factory. The Illinois death certificate for Charles Bodin records his father as Nels Nelson.
