NEWTOWN, Pa. -- Harry Franklyn Bodine, 66, died Friday at Doylestown Hospital. Born in Trenton, he lived in Levittown for 32 years before moving to Newtown nine years ago. Mr. Bodine was a production manager in electronics, working in the aerospace industry. He was a member of Fallsington Rifle and Pistol Association and a life member of the National Rifle Association. Son of the late Frank Garner and Beatrice Sackin Bodine, he is survived by three children, David William of West Grove, Pa., Kenneth Harry Bodine of Pendleton, S.C., Gail Renee Bodine Donahue of Suffield, Conn., and their mother, Carolyn J. Bodine of Newtown; a sister, Eleanor Caplin of Morrisville, Pa.; and five grandchildren, Daniel Charles, Moriah Elizabeth, Ashley Meghan, Matthew Ryan Bodine and Neal Bodine Donahue. Funeral services were Sunday at Swartz/Givnish Funeral Home, Newtown. The Rabbi Shira Joseph officiated. Interment was at Newtown Cemetery.

Carolyn Joan Bodine, 82, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Monday, October 2, 2017. Born in Langhorne, PA she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Vandervort) Leonard. Carolyn was a retired executive secretary for Bristol-Myers Squibb, Lawrenceville, NJ. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Carolyn came to The Villages from Yardley, PA in 2004. She was a humanist, enjoying science, theatre, and the arts. Carolyn enjoyed the Ocala Symphony and possessed a philanthropic nature. The Sierra Club, World Wildlife Fund, and Habitat for Humanity were recipients of her interest and generosity. Carolyn leaves three children; Gail Bodine-Donahue (Michael) of Suffield, CT; Kenneth Bodine (Kay) of Port Royal, SC; David Bodine of West Grove, PA; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services for Carolyn will be at a later date in Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Mayo ALS Clinic, Jacksonville, FL.
