Notes for: Felton Olaf Bodine
Felton grew up on a farm. He went to Grassy Jr. High School. He attended high school in Arab. During WW II, he joined the Air Force. He was assigned as a gunner on a B16. After his service to his country, he studied pharmacy and achieved a Doctor of Pharmacy. Felton operated his own drugstore in Huntsville, but the business did not go too well. He went to Arizona to make a home near his wife's parents. He was a successful pharmacist there. He died of cancer in 1993.

Felton Bodine served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a B16 gunner. After the war he studied pharmacy and became a doctor of pharmacy eventually operating a successful pharmacy in Phoenix where his wife's parents resided. He died of prostate cancer and was buried in Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale, Arizona. See his Arizona death certificate. Selma (Wright) Bodine is the daughter of William H. and Grace P. Wright.

Felton O. Bodine, 67, of Phoenix, a retired Smitty's pharmacist, died Aug. 18, 1993. He was born in Arab, Ala., and was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran. Survivors include his wife, Selma; daughter, Carolyn Pela; son, David L.; one sister; and three grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Green Acres Chapel of Light, 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale.

Phoenix - Selma Wright Bodine passed away in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 91. Selma is survived by her son, David (Karen) Bodine, Lebanon, Tennessee, her daughter Carolyn (Nicholas) Pela, Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren Stephanie Phillips, Christopher Pela, and Jesse Bodine; great-grandchildren, Kieran, Silvia, and Ione, and her special nieces Patricia Handley and Elizabeth Lechliter. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Wright, and her husband, Felton O. Bodine. Selma was born on February 18, 1927 in Arab, Alabama to William Herbert Wright and Grace Pool Wright. Her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona when she was a teenager and she was later followed by Felton, her childhood sweetheart - they were married in 1948 in Glendale, Arizona. Selma worked as a bookkeeper and a stay-at-home mother. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, and a wonderful, devoted daughter. Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A graveside funeral is scheduled for 1:00 on February 10, 2019 at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery, Scottsdale, Arizona. All are welcome to attend.
