WALNUT CREEK - Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow for Frank Bodine, retired Honolulu branch manager of Westinghouse Electric Co. He died Friday at 66. A native of Denver, he lived here at 1340 Canyonwood Court, Rossmoor. He served 40 years with Westinghouse. He was a member of-the Rossmoor Lions Club, the Rossmoor Engineers Club, Mt. Moriah Blue Lodge of Salt Lake City, Utah, the Rossmoor Shrine Club, the Aloha Temple of the shrine in Honolulu and the Electrical and Electronic Engineers club. He leaves his widow, Marguerite: a son, James of Brea; a brother, two sisters and two grandchildren.' Services will be at the Oak Park Hills Chapel.

Marguerite S. Bodine Walnut Creek, California Jan 10, 1908 - Jan 16, 1999
A native of Pueblo, Colorado, "Marg" or " Peg", grew up in Monte Vista, Colorado. She attended Colorado Agricultural College in Fort Collins, where she was active in the drama and journalism societies. Following graduation with a Bachelor of Science in 1929, she taught high school in Comyn, Texas. She married college sweetheart, Frank E. Bodine, of Denver, in 1930, and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was a sales engineer with Westinghouse. They transferred with Westinghouse to California in 1944 and again to Hawaii in 1958. They retired to California in 1967. Marguerite was a resident of both San Francisco and Rossmoor in Walnut Creek, following the loss of Frank in 1968. She was always the gracious hostess and ready "volunteer" for the Red Cross (Salt Lake's World War II Nurse's Aides program Chairman), a hospital, a church group, or some other worthy organization wherever she lived. Over the years she belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, the P.E.O. Sisterhood (Chapter in Salt Lake), Kappa Delta Sorority, the Alpha Chi Alpha Journalistic Sorority, the Colorado State University Alumni Association and the A.A.U.W. She enjoyed golfing, reading, writing, politics, growing orchids and roses, helping anyone who needed help and just walking with friends. She is survived by her son, Jim Bodine and his wife, Susan, of Walnut Creek; grandsons, Charles and his wife, Shelly, of Tempe, AZ; and John and his wife, Kathleen, of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren, Hunter Anthony and Travis Michael, of Tempe; one sister, Dorothy Eagleton and her husband, Bill, of Napa, CA; and many loving nieces and nephews across the country. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 27 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 399 Wiget Lane in Walnut Creek, California. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
