FREEVILLE--Thelma A. Bodine, 76, of 61 Spring Run Rd., Freeville, went home to be with the Lord and Savior, on Sunday, February 4, 1996, in the Cayuga Medical Center after a short illness. Born February 25, 1919 in Bloomfield, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha Anderson. She married Earle Bodine in 1941 and they moved to the Ithaca area in 1943. She retired from Cornell University and was an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Gideons International Women's Auxiliary. "Telly" is survived by her husband, Earle: children, John Bodine, Marjorie Robinson, Sharon Poludniak and Roger Bodine; brothers, Norman Anderson, Peter Anderson, Frank Anderson and Arnold Anderson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Grace Miller and Marion Evington; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and loving friends. She was also predeceased by her sister, Elsie Walker. Fyuneral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 1996, in Tabernacle Baptist Church, Rev. David Nelson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in South Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the E.C. Wagner Funeral Home of Ithaca. Memorial donations may be made to Gideons International or the Missionary Fund at Tabernacle Baptist Church.

HARFORD---Earle W. Bodine, 80, of 233 Creamery Rd., Harford, formerly of Spring Run Rd., Freeville, went home to be with the Lord and Savior, on Thursday, February 20, 1997, in the Cayuga Medical Center. He was tall in statute (6'5") and great in heart. How we shall miss him! Earle Bodine was born August 20, 1916, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to David and Neva Bodine. His family moved to Norfolk, Virginia, when he was two years old, then to Brooklyn, New York, when he was five years old. In 1944, Earle moved with his wife and first child to Ithaca, where they bought a farm on South Hill, fulfilling a happy setting for raising a family. He worked as a painter and decorator for over 30 years in Tompkins County and was a member of the Brotherhood of Painters and Decorators. [Portion omitted] Earle Bodine is predeceased by his loving parents, David and Neva Bodine, his faithful wife, Thelma, and two precious grandchildren, Stephen Bodine and David Poludniak. Remaining are his sisters and brother-in-law, Marian Evington of Dryden and Grace and Robert Miller of Ithaca; two sons and their wives, John and Gail Bodine of Jacksonville, Florida, and Rodger and Cindy Bodine of Plattsburgh, New York, and two daughters and their husbands, Marjorie and Everett Robinson of Freeville, and Sharon and Norman Poludniak of Durham, North Carolina; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many other relatives.
