David E. Bodine AND Neva Anna Calander were married 28 Aug 1915.
On 12 Sept 1918, David Emil Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He reported he was born 4 April 1884, worked as a paper hanger, and Mrs. Neva A. Bodine was his next of kin. In 1920, David and Neva Bodine lived in Norfolk County, Virginia where he was employed as a paper hanger and by 1925 in Brooklyn, New York where David worked as a house painter. In 1942, David Bodine registered for the World War II draft as a resident of Brooklyn, Kings County, at which time he reported he was born 4 April 1884 in Gull River, Minnesota. City directories for Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York for the years 1956 to 1961 show David and Neva Bodine as residents. In 1962, the city directory lists Neva Bodine, widow of David.

David E. Bodine, 77, of 611 Coddington Rd., died today, Aug. 21, 1961 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Neva Alander Bodine, two daughters, Mrs. Marion Evington of Dryden and Mrs. Grace Miller of Ithaca, a son, Earle Bodine of Ithaca and 10 grandchildren. Mr. Bodine was a member of the Painters and Decorator Assn., Local 178 of the Painters Union. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Wagner Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold E. Cole of the Tabernacle Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in South Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening.

ITHACA---Mrs. Neva Calander Bodine, 89 of 636 Coddington Road, died Tuesday at Lakeside Nursing Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she was a member, the Rev. Lloyd Hull officiating. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church or Gideon International. Surviving are a sister, Helga Odmark, and a brother, Charles Calander of Cambridge, Minn.; a son, Earle W. of Ithaca; two daughters, Mrs. Marian Evington of Dryden and Mrs. Grace Miller of Ithaca; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
