CLAREMONT, N.H. - Everett Cleon Tatro, 73, died April 4, 2005, at his home. He was born Sept. 24, 1931, in Tyson, Vt., the son of Cleon and E. Hazel (Prior) Tatro. He attended Black River High School in Ludlow, Vt. Mr. Tatro served in the Vermont National Guard from 1947 to 1950, in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1951 during the Korean conflict, and with the Springfield, Vt., National Guard as an administrator and auto mechanic from 1953 to 1960. He was a plumber by trade and worked for C.L. Bodine Plumbing & Heating, James Plumbing & Heating, both in Bellows Falls, Vt., Pinney Plumbing & Heating in Swanzey, N.H., and retired in 1991 from the Valley Regional Hospital, where he worked in plumbing and maintenance. Mr. Tatro was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fly-fishing and tied his own flies. He also enjoyed hunting, cooking and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Arlene Tatro of Claremont, whom he married on May 3, 1981; two daughters, Katherine Allen of Bellows Falls, Vt., and Linda Bazin of Cavendish, Vt.; one son, Michael Tatro of Friendship, Maine; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Stelmach of Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Christine Hoskin of Shanty Bay, Ontario; two brothers, Ezra Tatro of Claremont, Ellsworth Tatro of Tyson; three sisters, Eleanor Pierce of Ascutney, Vt., Elaine Underwood of Swanton, Vt., Elizabeth Hayward of Tyson; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three step-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife, Doris ( Bodine ) Tatro, in 1978; two daughters, Marjorie Wilson and Barbara McGrath; a granddaughter; and a brother, Edwin Tatro. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St. in Claremont. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Winn Alley, pastor of First Congregational Church, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan County Hospice, P.O.
