Good Evening,
I came across your website and found my great grandmother's name. I saw the info for her was pretty limited. She had 2 sons from a marriage previous to her marriage to James Reid named Albert and Samuel but their father took off with them and she never saw them again. Years later someone tracked them down and they wanted to remain no contact. She has 3 daughters, 2 biological, 1 adopted (her niece if I'm remembering correctly) they're named Donna Secrist, Brenda King (Deceased, this is actually my grandmother) and Edna Goode. Donna has 3 children, Brenda had one (my mother) and Edna has 2 children. Donna has 5 grandchildren, Brenda has 3 and Edna has 2. I'd be happy to give you more info and would love to learn more about the line of Bodines I come from.

In April 1930, Dorothy B. Bodine was 16 and single, living with her parents in Gainesville, Prince William County. Dorothy Milbourne was buried in Greenwich Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Greenwich, Prince William County.

Mrs. Dorothy Bodine Milbourne, 88, of Hopewell, formally of Charlottesville, Va., died Friday, April 5, 2002, in John Randolph Medical Center. She was born Oct. 14, 1913, in Prince William County, the daughter of the late William Allen and Anita Sullivan Bodine. Her life was spent as a nurse in several nursing homes. She was an avid gardener and had a great love for children and pets. Mrs. Milbourne was preceded in death by two husbands, James Thomas Reid Jr. and Edgar Dalton Milbourne. She is survived by three daughters, Donna R. Secrist and companion Joseph P. Winner of Hopewell, Brenda S. King of Charlottesville and Edna V. Jenkins and husband Johnny of Culpepper; five grandchildren, Debbi Beahm, Shannon Stevens, Shawn Secrist, Tammara R. King, Brandon Goode and Noel Jenkins; nine great-grandchildren and several step-children. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2002 at Gould Chapel Nelsen Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Gould Chapel by the Rev. Rebecca Branch-Griffin. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. in Grenich Presbyterian Church Prince William County by the Rev. Don Meeks.
