Services for Paul M. Bodine, Calhan rancher who died Monday, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Swan Funeral Home. The Rev. Bruce Stafford will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Bodine was born Jan. 16, 1912 in Enid, Okla., and has lived in the Calhan area for 21 years. He belonged to the Calhan Methodist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elsie L. Bodine; a son, Lt. Lance Bodine, serving with the Air Force in Viet Nam; two brothers, Marion H. Bodine of Calhan and Carl Bodine of Enid, and two grandsons.

ELSIE TOTTEN, 79, of Colorado Springs died May 8, 1992. She was a rural letter carrier for the Calhan post office until her retirement in 1976. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Martin Vose officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, 1001 S. Hancock Ave. Mrs. Totten was born April 29, 1913, in Dewey County, Okla., to George Morrison and Loretta Anne (Wisenberg) Burr. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Daughters of the Nile, Ruhomah Temple 71, Pikes Peak Club, Bluebird Club, Humane Society and the National Rural Letter Carriers Association. She was past matron of Faith Chapter 140, Order of Eastern Star. She was a volunteer for Silver Key Senior Services. She was married to Chester Totten, who survives. Other survivors include a son, retired Col. Lance Bodine of Memphis, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Alice Atwell of Phoenix; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
