The birth of Nellie Bodine was recorded in the birth records of Saginaw County. She was called Bernis (probably intended for Bernice), age 4, in June 1880. In the record of her marriage Nellie Bodine was recorded as the daughter of William Bodine and Eliza Cushman. In June 1900, Nellie Bodine was 24 years old and single, living with her parents and working as a teacher in Maple Grove, Saginaw County. In April 1930, Edwin and Nellie Beiser lived in Hazelton, Shiawassee County where Edwin worked as a blacksmith. The couple appears not to have had any children or none that survived infancy. They were buried in Elmwood Cemetery, New Lothrop, Shiawassee County.
