FRENCHTOWN Catherine Bodine, 82, formerly of Lambertville, died on Friday at the Valley View Care Center in Frenchtown. Born in Phillipsburg, Mrs. Bodine lived most of her life in Lambertville before moving to Frenchtown 10 years ago. She worked at Belmont Forwarders and Luggagecraft, both in Lambertville, before retiring many years ago. She was the daughter of the late William and Augustine Van Horn. She is survived by her husband Clarence; her sons and their wives Thomas A. and Jo-Ann M. Dennis of Ringoes and John E. and Linda Bodine of Phillipsburg; her five grandchildren and her three great-grandchildren; her step-sons and their wives Robert and Shirley Bodine of Monroe Township and Jim Robins and his wife Lorie of Waretown; her step-daughters and their husbands Sue Eller and her husband R.C. of Damascus, GA and Diane Ott and her husband Peter of Bridgewater; her 15 step-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York St., Lambertville. Clarence Bodine PHILLIPSBURG - Clarence Bodine, 97, of Phillipsburg, NJ died on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at the Valley View Care Center in Frenchtown, NJ. Born in Lambertville, Clarence moved to Ringoes over 30 years ago. He was a machinist for the Roller Bearing Company in Trenton for many years before retiring. Earlier, he worked for Aspen Tree Service. A veteran of World War II, he served with the US Navy in the Pacific. He was a member of the American Legion Toscani Post in Lambertville. He was the husband of the late Catherine Van Horn Bodine; father of the late Robert Bodine and Kenneth Bodine; son of the late Nicholas and Nellie Parish Bodine and father-in-law of the late R.C. Eller. He is survived by his children and their spouses, James (Lori) Robins of Waretown, NJ, Diane (Peter) Ott of Bridgewater, NJ, Sue Eller of Damascus, VA, John E. (Linda) Bodine of Phillipsburg and Thomas A. (Jo-Ann M.) Dennis of Phillipsburg; his daughter-in-law, Shirley Bodine of Monroe Township, NJ and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m. at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York St., Lambertville, NJ 08530. Judith M. Ovsiew, 67, of Dickson City, died Monday at home. She was the widow of Jack Ovsiew, who died in 2004. Born in Elizabeth, N.J., daughter of the late John and Ruth Fisher Selak, she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed. Surviving are a son, Mark Morse, Scranton; two daughters, Lisa Morse, Long Island, N.Y.; and Sherry Masterson, Scranton; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maryann Golembeski, Clarks Summit; and Bonnie Desimone, New Jersey; and a son-in-law, Donji Masterson. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Michelle Robles. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Davies & Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., Scranton.
