In 1900, Charles Bodine, age 14 and his brother, Kilmer (or Hilmer), age 18, lived with and worked as farm laborers for Charles and Cathren Candee in Easton, Fairfield County, Connecticut. In 1910, Charles Bodine, age 23 and single, lived in Quincy, Norfolk County employed as a patternmaker at a shipyard.

1st marriage--1911--ANNIE S. HANSON.
Annie (Hanson) Bodine is the daughter of Charles J. and Sophia (Larson) Hanson.

CHARLES KNIGHT BODINE of Norfolk, Massachusetts registered for the World War I draft on 12 Sept 1918 in Quincy, Massachusetts. He reported he was born 28 Jan 1886, worked as a pattern maker and named his wife, Annie S. Bodine, as his next of kin.

In 1920-1940, Charles Bodine lived with his family in Quincy, Norfolk County employed as a pattern maker at a shipyard. In 1930, He reported that both of his parents had been born in Chicago, Illinois, a contradiction from earlier censuses wherein he claims they were either born in Connecticut or did not know.

CHARLES KNIGHT BODINE SR. of Plymouth, Massachusetts registered for the World War II Draft on 26 April 1942. He reported he was born 28 Jan 1886 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, worked for Bethlehem Steel Co. and named Evelyne A. Mackie as his next of kin.

From Rockingham County, New Hampshire Marriage Records:
Charles Knight Bodine Sr., 58, of Quincy, Mass., widowed, pattern maker, native of Bridgeport, Conn., son of John A. Bodine, decd, cabinet maker, native of Chicago & Mary Ruckman, decd, native of Chicago AND Muriel Daisy Crocker, 45, of Braintree, Mass., widowed, native of St. John's, Newfoundland, daughter of Philip L. Snelgrave, boat builder & Dora Pelley, both natives of Newfoundland, were married 26 Aug 1945 at Seabrook.

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie S. Hanson Bodine, who died yesterday at her home, 102 Furnace Brook parkway, Quincy, will be held at the Russell Funeral Home, 6 Hancock street, Wollaston, tomorrow at 2 P.M., the Rev. George E. Bovans, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Quincy, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
