On 16 Oct 1940, Harry Bodine registered for the World War II Draft in Dover, Delaware. He reported he was born 5 Feb 1911 in Henderson, Caroline Co., Maryland, worked for the state highway department, and named his wife, Mrs. Mary Emily Bodine, as his next of kin.
Harry and Mary Bodine were buried in Wicomico Memorial Park, Salisbury, Wicomico County. Mary was the daughter of Charles Wesley and Matilda Barzella (Hammond) Jones.

Mrs. Mary E. Bodine, 66, of 518 NE Perry died at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday at the Nursing Center of Canton, where she had been a patient since Saturday. Born Nov. 12, 1913, in Harrington, Del., she was a daughter of Charles and Mardella Hammond Jones. She married Harry Bodine Sr. Nov. 27, 1932, in Dover, Del. Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Louise Fawcett of Peoria; three sons, Robert and Harry Bodine Jr., both of Peoria, and Lawrence of Baltimore, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Teele of Salisbury, Dora of Philadelphia and Edith of Camden, Del.; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be tomorrow in the Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury. Burial will be in Wicomico Memorial Park Cemetery, Salisbury. Local arrangements are by Wilton Mortuary.

SALISBURY---Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wicomico Memorial Park for Harry Bodine Sr., 73, of Washington Street. He died Tuesday in Peninsula General Hospital Medical Center of leukemia. The Rev. Ray Chamberlain will officiate. Born in Henderson, Md., he was a son of the late John and Lillian Bodine. His wife, Mary E. Bodine, died in 1980. He was retired after having worked for more than 20 years for Steeles Scrapyard. Surviving are four children, Louise M. Fawcett, Mardela Springs, Robert Bodine, Peoria, Ill., Lawrence Bodine, Baltimore, and Harry Bodine, Jr., Salisbury; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Gray, Dover, and several nieces and nephews. A stepson, Francis Jones, died in 1967. Friends may call at the Holloway Funeral Home Saturday from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
