A 16-year resident of Vancouver, Harry Bodine, 56, 901 N.E. Calef Rd., died Saturday at Vancouver Memorial Hospital. He was born March 13, 1902, in Eugene, Ore. Bodine, a retired automobile mechanic, was a member of the Machinists Union of Vancouver. He is survived by his widow, Edna; a son, Vernon Bodine of Vancouver; a brother, Chauncey Bodine of Vancouver; and a sister, Mrs. Ione Andren of Nenong, Wis. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Evergreen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Edna Brophy, 88, Jamestown, died Thursday, June 30, 1994 at Jamestown Hospital. Edna McCord was born Feb. 3, 1906, at Spooner, Wis., the daughter of Gary and Nellie (Mitts) McCord. She attended school at Minong, Wis., where she received her elementary education and grew up. She attended Clark College at Vancouver where she received her nurse's training. She married Harry Bodine in November 1927, at Duluth, Minn. They lived in Barron, Wis. In 1942 they moved to Vancouver, Wash., where she worked as an LPN at Vancouver Memorial Hospital. Following the death of her husband in 1958, she continued to live in Vancouver. She married Floyd Brophy Nov. 18, 1966, at Vancouver. They lived in Vancouver until retiring to Jamestown in 1978. She became a resident of the Rock of Ages Nursing Home, Jamestown, in 1993. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Jamestown. Survivors include her husband; a son, Vernon Bodine, Carrington; and three sisters and a brother-in-law, Jennie Nelson, Vancouver, Suzie Roenfanzm kenosha, Wis., and Bernice and Pat Patterson, Scappoose, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband. Services: funeral arrangements are pending with Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown. Visitation: 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday, funeral home, Jamestown.
