Service for Harry Hartman, 71, a former longtime Spokane resident, will be at 1 p.m. today at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d'Alene. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park in Spokane. Mr. Hartman died Sunday at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene after a long illness with cancer. Son of Howard and Anna (Manzow) Hartman, he was born May 25, 1913, in Merrillan, Wis. and came to Spokane as a youngster. He moved to Post Falls, Idaho, two years ago. Mr. Hartman was with Consolidated Freightways for 40 years, retiring in 1978. He was a longtime member of Teamsters Local 690 in Spokane and a member of the Coeur d'Alene Eagles Aerie and Elks Lodge. Mr. Hartman and Mary Bodine of Spokane were married in 1939. Survivors include his wife, at the Post Falls home, and two daughters, Christina Cobb and Lou Ann Curtis of Bellevue, Wash. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Graveside service for Mary B. Hartman, 81, will be at 1 p.m. today at Riverside Memorial Park in Spokane. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d'Alene is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hartman, who was born in Alberton [sic= Elberton], Wash., died Friday. She grew up in Post Falls and graduated from high school there in 1932. She also graduated from Northwestern Business College in Spokane. Mrs. Hartman lived in Spokane for many years and worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses before retiring in 1976. She moved to Post Falls in 1982 and moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1988. Mrs. Hartman was a member of the Coeur d'Alene Eagles Auxiliary and the Kootenai Medical Center Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, Lou Ann Curtis of Bellevue, Wash.; a sister, Martha Hubbard of Coeur d'Alene; and two grandchildren, Daniel and Paul.
