Mrs. Mildred L. Bodine, 75, died Monday in a nursing home at Gardner in Johnson County, where she lived. She was born in Kansas City, Kan., and was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Bodine was a Baptist. She leaves two sons, Bob Bodine and Virgil Bodine, of Overland Park; and five grandchildren. Graveside services were Tuesday in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Rose Helen Bodine, 81, Leawood, KS, formerly of Belleville, IL, died Monday, December 31, 2001, at home. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 3, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Courtyard of Memories Indoor Mausoleum. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Helen was born January 6, 1920, to John I. Sr. and Mary (Newman) Shore. Mrs. Bodine was in real estate sales and in land developing. She was also involved in a construction business with her husband, Virgil Bodine. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Burford and John, a stepson, Virgil C. Bodine and an infant son, Kevin. Survivors include a son, Frank Brooks; stepson, Robert E. Virgil Claude Bodine, 84, of 36 Compton Court, Prairie Village, a former home builder and business owner, died Sunday at the home. Mr. Bodine was a home builder before he retired in 1977. He also owned the Cloverleaf Nursery, Overland Park, for 20 years. He was a member of the Mission Rotary Club and the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City. He was born in Enid, Okla., and had lived in this area most of his life. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Rose Helen Bodine of the home; two sons, Virgil W. Bodine and Robert E. Bodine, and a stepson, Frank Brooks, all of Overland Park; a brother, Cecil L. Bodine, Phoenix, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Mount Moriah Chapel; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
