Edward Bodine, 23 AND Jennie M. Hamlin [sic], 19, were married 12 Dec 1894.
In 1900, Edward Bodine lived in Harmony Township, Warren County, engaged in farming. He reported that in 5 years of marriage to his wife Jennie she had borne 2 children both of hom were then living with them. In 1910, the family lived in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania where Edward worked as a machinist in a machine shop. In 1920, Edward and Jennie Bodine lived in Lockport, Niagra County, New York and 1930 in Elmira Heights, Chemung County, New York working as a grinder for an auto parts business.

Edward Bodine, 79, of 246 1/2 Oakwood Ave., Elmira Heights, Wednesday morning, Sept. 6, 1950. He was a member of Union Lodge F&AM, and the Centenary Methodist Church. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Jennie Bodine; a daughter, Mrs. Harriet Carpenter of Middlebury Center, Pa.; a son, Freemond Bodine of Elmira; brother, Jesse Bodine of Phillipsburg, N,J,; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. The body is at the family home, where funeral will be held Fridat at 2: 30 p.m. The Rev. Leon B. Randall. Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Jennie Bodine of Elmira, N. Y., passed away April 3, 1965 at the age of 89 years. She was the daughter of the late William and Ellen Hamlen of Phillipsburg, N. J. She, with her husband and family, went to Elmira in 1950 from Easton, Pa. Mrs. Bodine was very active in the Elmira Centenary Methodist Church until recent years of ill health. She has resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Carpenter of Middlebury Center for the past two years. Survivors are her son, Freemond Bodine of Elmira; Daughter, Mrs. Loren Carpenter; Brother, Hyjah Hamlen of Philhpsburg, N.J.; Half sisters, Mrs. Grace Binkley of Selma, Calif. Three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her Christian influence will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services were Tuesday at Olthof Funeral Home in Elmira. Pall bearers were her grandsons: Vernon Waterman of Elmira; Ronald Carpenter of Holliday, Pa.; Rev. Charles Foster of Philadelphia and great grandson, Ronald Foster of Philadelphia.
Edward and Jennie Bodine were buried 8 Sept 1950 and 6 April 1965, respectively, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, Chemung County.
