In 1910, John Roy Bodine lived with his uncle and aunt, John and Arabella Dalrymple in Franklin Township, Warren County working in his uncle's general store as a clerk. On 5 June 1917, John Roy Bodine registered for the World War I draft in Franklin Township, Warren County. He reported he was married and employed as a clerk with the Ingersoll Rand Company of Phillipsburg. In 1920-1930, the family lived in Franklin Township, in 1920 next door to his parents. In 1942, he registered for the World War II draft as a resident of Broadway, New Jersey and still employed by the Ingersoll Rand Co. His next of kin was his wife, Mrs. Florence Bodine. Florence (Richie) Bodine is the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Smith) Richie.

(Ill) Luella, daughter of John M. and Arabella (Holden) Dalrymple, was born in Broadway, Warren county. New Jersey, in 1868. She married Theodore A. Bodine. Child: John Roy Bodine, born April 16, 1888; married, June 22, 1910, Florence C, daughter of Frank and Minnie (Smith) Richey. He graduated from the Stewartsville high school in 1904, and after taking a course in Jones' Business College, Easton, Pennsylvania, entered his grandfather's store as clerk.

J. Roy Bodine, 72, of Broadway, N.J., died yesterday afternoon in Warren Hospital after an illness of one week. Mr. Bodine was a layout clerk for the Celanese Corp., Belvidere. Born in Washington Township, he was a son of the late Theodore and Louella Dalrymple Bodine. He was a member of Broadway Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the IOFF of Stewartsville. Surviving are his widow, the former Florence Richey; a son, Arnold, Broadway, and three grandchildren. The Bodines observed their 50th wedding anniversary last June 2. The funeral will be held at -- p.m. Friday at the DeVoe Funeral Home, Washington

Services were held Tuesday afternoon in the DeVoe Funeral Home, Washington, for Mrs. Florence C. Bodine, 81, of Broadway, who died Saturday, November 4, 1972, shortly after admission to Warren Hospital. Born in New Village, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Armina Smith Richey. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Broadway, the WSCS of the Church and American Advocate Council 64, Sons and Daughters of Liberty, Washington. Her husband, J. Roy Bodine, died in 1961. She is survived by a son, Arnold of Broadway; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Interment was in the Stewartsville Presbyterian Cemetery.
