Terry Lee Bodine, 22, born in Indiana AND Joyce Susan Hilsmier,22, born in Indiana, were married 16 Aug 1969 in Fort Wayne, by Richard G. Frazier, Lutheran Pastor. [Note: Joyce is the daughter of Harold William and Olga Martha (Schnepel) Hilsmier.]

TERRY L. BODINE, 74, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, in Indianapolis where he had lived for two years. Born June 1, 1947, in Fort Wayne, he attended Emmaus Lutheran Schools, South Side High School and received a B.S. in Business from Indiana University. Terry worked first at Lincoln National Life Insurance where he was introduced to the world of computers and then continued as systems analyst for 30 years at Rea Magnet Wire, retiring in 2007. He was an avid bowler and golfer and was most proud of his 800 bowling series, 300 game, and 3 holes in one on the golf course. He bowled throughout the country in 25 ABC National Bowling Tournaments and was inducted in the Fort Wayne Bowling Association. Hall of Fame in 2004. An active member of Fort Wayne Turners, American Turners, and the Light of the Cross Associated Churches food bank, he served on their boards and many committees. While in Fort Wayne, he was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church where he served on committees and as president of the church council. He loved sports, reading, and spending time with family and friends. He particularly adored his three grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Joy); two children, Trent (Allison) and Kendra (Nick Childers); three grandchildren, Marin, Elise and Graham; and by loving cousins. A Celebration of Life is noon Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Lane, with visitation from 10 a.m. to noon. Masks will be required. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Gethsemane Lutheran Church and Fort Wayne Turners.
