In 1930, Benjamin Bodine lived in Lopatcong Township, Warren County. He reported he had been married for 7 years, but his wife lived elsewhere. His wife, Helen, was the daughter of Theodore Garfield and Edna May (Slater) Oberly. Benjamin and Helen Bodine divorced. Benjamin Bodine was buried in Washington Cemetery, Warren County and Helen Bodine was buried in Stewartsville Presbyterian Cemetery, Stewartsville, Warren County.

Benjamin F. Bodine, 80, Union Square Hotel, Phillipsburg, died Sunday in Warren Hospital where he was a patient since Sept. 23. He was once a farmer and dairyman for Bellview Dairy, Lopatcong Township. Later he was a general maintenance man for Phillip Tirrell, Phillipsburg, and was last employed as a night watchman for 15 years by Easton Publishing Co. Born in Washington Township, on June 20, 1898, he was a son of the late John and Laura Bodine Jr. He lived in Phillipsburg the last 2 1/2 years, previously living in Popatcong Township. There are no immediate survivors. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Rupell Funeral Home, Phillipsburg. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery.
