Will A. Young, 22, of Muskogee AND Berdie Bodine, 18, of Oklahoma City, were married 19 April 1910 in Oklahoma City by Thos. H. Harper, Pastor, Pilgrim Cong. Church of Oklahoma City in the presence of Ora Bodine of Oklahoma City. [Note: It seems that William Young died within a year or so as there is no further record of him. His wife remarried in 1912 and in 1920 a Mary E. Young had guardianship of his son William reporting the child's father was deceased.]
John D. Barkalow, 23 AND Birdie Young, 21, both of Oklahoma City, were married 31 Dec 1912 in Oklahoma City, by J. H. O. Smith, Minister, First Christian Church.
On 3 May 1917, in Los Angeles, California, John David Barkalow registered for the World War I draft and reported he was born 12 May 1890 in Fontana, Kansas, that he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad in Los Angeles as a brakeman, and that he was married and had one child.

On 19 Feb 1920, W. T. Bodine, father of the decedent, Birdie L. Barkalow, hereby waive the appointment of myself as administrator of the estate of said decedent and request that her brother, C. A. Bodine be appointed as such administrator.
On 19 Feb 1920, C. A. Bodine reported the death of his sister Birdie L. Barkalow who died 14 Feb 1920 in Oklahoma City, leaving a child, William A. Young, age 8, and an estate of $2200.
William Alexander Young, the child of William Alexander Young and Birdie Barkalow came under the guardianship of Mary E. Young of Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. She filed guardianship papers on 17 May 1920. In an application for guardianship filed 14 Feb 1921 it is noted that the father was deceased. Nowhere is it stated what the relationship of Mary E. Young to the elder William Young was, whether second wife, sister, or other relative.

Funeral services for John Barkalow, 28 years old, who died Tuesday in Los Angeles, Calif., will be conducted by Rev. H.E. Swan at Marshall & Harper's chapel at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Mr. Barkalow was a son of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Barkalow, 621 W. Wheeler street. Besides his father and mother, Mr. Barkalow is survived by the widow and two brothers. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.
