BISMARCK - Byron K. Bodine, 58, of Bismarck died at 12:55 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 30, 2004) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bismarck United Methodist Church, 204 S. Chicago Ave., Bismarck. The Rev. Keith Michaels and Miles Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Gundy Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville. Mr. Bodine was born Jan. 31, 1946, in Danville, a son of Dean and Wilma Brown Bodine . He married Judy French on Sept. 5, 1965, in Bismarck. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Darren Bodine of Monticello and Bill Bodine of DeKalb; a daughter, Kelly Truex of Bismarck; two brothers, Robert Bodine and Laurel Bodine, both of Bismarck; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Bodine was a lifelong farmer in the Bismarck area. He was a member of Bismarck United Methodist Church and was a former Sunday school teacher. He was the Newell Township clerk and former trustee, and was a former member of the Bismarck-Henning school board. He enjoyed raising purebred livestock and spending time at the Bismarck coffee shop. He was an Illinois and Bismarck sports fan. Memorials may be made to the church or to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 4215 Lindell St., St. Louis, MO 63108.
