Grady Moze Speight, 72, of Chipley died Saturday in Panama City. The services will be at 2 p.m. CST (3 p.m. EST) today at Blue Lake Baptist Church in Chipley, with burial in Piney Grove Cemetery in Jackson County. A native of Cottondale, he had lived in Chipley for 21 years. He was the owner of a small-engine repair shop and was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of Blue Lake Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Civie Speight of Chipley; two sons, Grady Speight and David Edmund Speight, both of Raleigh, N.C.; two daughters, Jacqueline Evelyn Cota of Clayton, N.C., and Jenny Black of Lake Butler; a stepson, Raymond Pippin of Chipley; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Hayes of Chipley; a brother, Joe Speight of Lakeland; three sisters, Beatrice Starksy and Deborah Maloney, both of Huntsville, Ala., and Avice Smart Charleston, S.C,; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandhildren.
