A local youth and a WAC, both stationed at Bowman Field, Ky., were married recently as the result of an Army romance. Master Sgt. Harry A. Bodine, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Bodine , of Laurel Springs, took as his bride, Pfc. Evelyn Xiques. Following the ceremony, they traveled to Laurel Springs to spend a honeymoon furlough. Sergeant Bodine, a graduate of Glassboro High school, entered the service in April, 1941, and became a master sergeant in March, 1943.

BODINE, EVELYN A., 94, of Clearwater, died Saturday (April 3, 1999) at Mariner Health Care of Clearwater. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came here in 1969 from Cleveland. She was a dance instructor for the Arthur Murray Studio in New York. She was a Women's Army Corps veteran of World War II. Survivors include two nephews, Arthur X. Otto, Eureka, Calif., and Ray R. Otto, Montclair, Calif. Moss-Feaster Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Belcher Road Chapel, Clearwater.

The newspaper obituary of Ermin R. Pierson, 83, in the Philadelphia Inquirer of 30 Dec 1991, names among his survivors, his sister, Thelma Bodine of Clementon. The obituary of Ethel (Pierson) Fisher, 90, in the Courier-Post (Canden, NJ) of 24 Dec 1996 also names her surviving sister Thelma Bodine of Clementon. The obituary of Stanley H. Fisher, 73, in the Courier-Post of 29 April 2004 names his surviving aunt Thelma Bodine of Pine Hill (in Camden County). [In 1940, Thelma I. Pierson, 8 NJ, lived with her parents, Alfred B. & Edith N. Pierson, in Lindenwold, Camden County, New Jersey. As the family lived in Camden County from 1910 on, it appears Thelma was born there.] Pine Hill is a borough in Camden County

The Social Security Administration recorded the death of Thelma Bodine on 29 Oct 2013. In 2007 she lived in Pine Hill, NJ. No obituary was published. Her final residence was in Williamstown, Gloucester Co., NJ living with her stepson William H. Bodine.
