In 1900, Harry and his brother George lived in the home of their sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Clarence Mitten in Glassboro, Gloucester County. Both worked as "snapping up boys." In 1910, Harry and Emma Bodine lived next door to his parents in Berlin Township, Camden County where Harry worked as an electrician in a shipyard. Harry Bodine registered for the World War I draft on 12 Sept 1918 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He stated he was a farmer and Emma Bodine was his next of kin. In 1920, the Bodines lived in Norristown, Montgomery County where Harry worked as a machinist. Harry and Emma Bodine lived 1930 in Pitman Borough, Gloucester County, New Jersey where Harry worked for the railroad. In 1942, he registered for the World War II draft as Henry Abram Bodine, resident of Laurel Springs, Camden County, New Jersey, born 10 March 1884 in Buckingham, Pennsylvania and named his wife Emma Bodine as his next of kin. Emma (Bradbury) Bodine was the daughter of William and Emma Bradbury.

Harry A. Bodine Sr., 74, of 503 Laurel rd., Laurel Springs, a retired Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines employee, died Friday in Cooper Hospital. A native of Bucks County, Pa., he was a Laurel Springs resident 23 years. Surviving are his wife, Emma S.; two sons, Augustus L., of Somerdale, and Harry A. Jr., of Lindenwold; a daughter, Mrs. Helen W. Hartman, of Somerdale; a sister, Mrs. Clara Mitten, of Philadelphia; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Knight Funeral Home, Rich and Central aves., Berlin, where friends may call Tuesday night. Burial will be in Locustwood Memorial Park, Delaware Township.

Mrs. Emma S. Bodine, 79, died Wednesday in her home at 503 Laurel rd., Laurel Springs. A former resident of Berlin she lived in Laurel Springs 28 years. Surviving are two sons, Augustus L. of Laurel Springs and Harry A. of Lindenwold; a daughter, Mrs. Helen B. Hartman of Somerdale; a brother, Horace Bradbury of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Knight Funeral Home, Rich and Central aves., Berlin, where friends may call Sunday night. Burial will be in Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill.
