Joseph John Bodine, Sr., passed away at his residence in Waveland, MS. on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Age 83 years. Survived by his wife Evelyn Boyle Bodine of Waveland, MS.; sons, Joseph (Joe) Bodine, Jr. (wife Debra) and Anthony (Tony) Bodine, Sr. (wife Peggy); grandchildren, Joseph III (Lori), Brittany, Edouard, Anthony Jr., Andrew, Alyssa and the late Katherine E. Bodine; and great-granddaughter Zoe Bodine. Preceded in death by parents Joseph J. Bodine, Eunice Doty Bodine Arieux and Urbin Arieux. Mr. Bodine was a member of the American Legion Mississippi Post #77, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Post #3253 and a U. S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. Relatives and friends are attended the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA. 70124, on Friday, April 3, 2009. The burial service followed at Lake Lawn Park. In lieu of flowers, masses preferred. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Clara Catholic Church, Waveland, MS. on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM.
