Barry Stone Bodine, Sr., of Ocean City, NJ, and formerly of Washington Township, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and family. He was 77 years old. Barry grew up in Laurel Springs, NJ, where he was a member of the Lions Club. He was a graduate of Collingswood High School and then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Hiram Scott College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. During college, he became a member of the TKE Fraternity (Tau Kappa Epsilon). Barry was an Army Veteran and served his country proudly from July 1969 to July 1971 during the Vietnam Conflict. His career spanned over 50 years working at financial institutions beginning with Philadelphia National Bank and ending with his retirement from Fidelity Informational Services. Barry loved Ocean City, NJ, where he spent his summers as a child. It was his lifelong dream to live there, a goal he achieved later in life. He enjoyed the beach, being with his family and watching his grandchildren grow up. Barry loved to travel and especially loved Maui, where he spent his honeymoon, and him and his wife visited every year for over 30 years to celebrate! He is the beloved husband of 48 years to Christine Bodine (Sabatino); devoted father to Denise Nenner (Lange) and husband, Howard M. Nenner, Barry S. Bodine, Jr., Kristin Pepe (Bodine) and husband, Stephen Pepe. Cherished grandfather of Matthew Robert Nenner, Julia Nicole Nenner, Kaylee Lynn Bodine, Madeline Rose Bodine, Ella Grace Pepe, Theresa Marie Pepe, Louise Evelyn Pepe and Vivian Christine Pepe; He is predeceased by his mother: Margaret J. Keely (Jensen), Father: Charles S. Bodine, Stepfather: R. Brooke Keely. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 11 am to 1 pm at the McGuinness Funeral Home 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Funeral Service will begin at 1 pm.
