FARMINGTON--Mrs. Alita B. Settles, 74, of 319 W. Fort St., Farmington, died at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday in Proctor Hospital at Peoria. She was born Sept. 1, 1904, at Farmington, a daughter of Cornelius and Elizabeth (Davis) Berdine. She was married to David Settles, who preceded her in death on July 30, 1962. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Rolando and a brother, Dwight, both of Farmington, and five grandchildren. A son, Wesley and one brother preceded her in death. She was a member of the Farmington Presbyterian Church and of the Rebekah Lodge 155 at Farmington, of which she was a past noble grand. She was also a member of the Auxiliary of the Farmington American Legion Post. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Memorial may be sent to the Farmington Rescue Squad 1100.
