Albert Berdine was age 6 in 1850, 15 in 1860 and 24 in 1870, while living with his parents, last in Peoria County, Illinois.
In a biographical sketch of his brother George Berdine published in the "Portrait and Biographical Album of Sedgwick County, Kansas" [Chapman Bros., 1888], it states that Albert Berdine resided in Iowa. In which case he may be identified with a A. Berdine, age 42, living in Farragut, Fremont County, Iowa, employed as a printer.

From Cook County, Illinois Marriage Records:
Albert F. Berdine AND Lottie Kingsley were married 5 Jan 1881.
On 6 June 1896, Albert F. Berdine, 52, farmer, native of Illinois, resident of La Hambra, registered as a voter in Orange County, California.
On 5 July 1898, Albert F. Berdine, 53, farmer, native of Illinois, resident of Carlsbad, San Diego Co., registered as a voter in San Diego County, California.
1900 Fullerton, Orange Co., CA: Albert BERDINE May 1845 IL farmer widowed, Albert Jr. Jan 1890 IA son, Orrin KINGSLEY March 1824 NY father-in-law widowed. Albert had one child, then living.
2nd marriage--1901--ELLEN NELLIE DAWSON.
The Los Angeles Times of 7 Feb 1901 reported in a listing of marriages licenses issued the previous day by the County Court Clerk: "Albert F. Berdine, age 55, a native of Illinois and a resident of La Habra, and Ellen Nellie Dawson, aged 40, a native of Virginia and a resident of Indianapolis, Ind."
From Los Angeles County, California Marriage Records:
Albert F. Bodine, 55 of Illinois, AND Ellen Nellie Dawson, 40 of Virginia were married 5 Feb 1901 in Los Angeles by W. F. Day.
Perhaps it was this Ellen Dawson, who on 5 Sept 1918, married Henry Kielhofer in Los Angeles County.
