Mrs. Joe Bodine, aged 65 years, died at her home, near Maud, last Wednesday morning, September 5th. Death was due to a stroke of paralysis. Deceased was a member of the Methodist Church and was an exemplary Christian Woman. The funeral services were held at the Camp ground church Friday morning and was conducted by Rev. D. Huston. She is survived by her husband, two sons,Richard and George Bodine, and one daughter, Mrs. Houglin, two sisters and one brother, all who have the sympathy of many friends.

Joseph Norris Bodine, age 74, died at his home near Bloomfield about noon Monday of apoplexy . He had been in perfect health and had showed no signs of illness just before his death. Had delivered some hog's that morning and at the time of his death was helping to load a table and had entered the dining room when he was stricken. Surviving him are three children, two sons and one daughter, his wife having proceeded him to the grave more than one year ago. His sons are, George and Harvey Bodine, of Washington county, and the daughter, Mrs. Herbert Houghlin, of Spencer county. The funeral conducted by his pastor, Rev. W. T. Hopkins, was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Camp Ground with interment in the Camp Ground cemetery. Mr. Bodine was on the Grand Jury here this term of court.
