James Earl Bodine Sr., 36, of LeRoy died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at Rochester Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn. Survivors: wife, Lydia; two sons, James "Jimmy" Earl Bodine Jr. and Brandon Justin Bodine, both at home; a daughter, Lori Romona Strickler, at home; father and stepmother, James and Barb Bodine of Berlin; mother and stepfather, Edie and Richard Beall of Springfield; and three sisters, Cari (husband, Brian) Partridge of Grapevine, Texas, Teri Parker of Chatham and Cindy Page of New Berlin. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, the Rev. Ken Osness officiating. Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy.

LEROY -- James Earl Bodine Sr., 36, of LeRoy died at 9:26 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Born Feb. 1, 1963, in Stanton, Calif., to James E. and Edie Giddings Bodine Sr., he married Lydia Lanphier on March 16, 1989, in Bloomington. She survives. Also surviving are his mother and stepfather, Edie and Richard Beall of Springfield; his father and stepmother, James and Barb Bodine of Berlin; two sons, James "Jimmy" Jr. and Brandon, both at home; one daughter, Lori Stickler, at home; and three sisters, Cari (Brian) Partridge of Grapevine, Texas, Teri Parker of Chatham and Cindy Page of New Berlin. He was branch manager at Aramark Inc. in Peoria and had also worked at the Champaign and Decatur branches. He was a member of LeRoy Christian Church and coached baseball and soccer in LeRoy. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, where visitation will be one hour before services. The Rev. Ken Osness will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to an educational fund for his children that has been established at Busey Bank in LeRoy.
