From Ronny Bodine:

From The Decatur Review (Decatur, Ill.) of Tuesday, 25 July 1916.
Surprising their friends and all but a few of their relatives, Ellis S. Torrey of Detroit, Mich. and Miss Eva Pearl Bodine were married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Bodine, three and one-half miles east of Shelbyville, Saturday evening Rev. W. D. Russell officiated.

In 1930, Ellis and Eva Torrey lived in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Ellis worked as an advertising engineer and Eva was comptroller for a philanthropical organization. They appear not to have had any children. Eva's divorced brother George Bodine lived with them.
