On 16 Oct 1940, Leon Robert Bodine of St. Joseph, Missouri registered for the World War II Draft. He reported he was born 8 Dec 1916 in Harper, Kansas, worked for L. L. Coreyll & Son in St. Joseph, and named Elie Edward Bodine, his father, as next of kin. He signed the registration as L. R. Bodine.

Wanda Marie McCoy applied for a SSN in February 1940. She reported she was born 11 July 1921 in Fairbury, Nebraska to Enis F. & Mamie (Koch) McCoy. In Jan 1943 her name was reported as Wanda Marie Bodine, in April 1947 as Wanda Marie Durham and in Nov 1962 as Wanda Marie Owsley. She died 27 March 1992.

Phyllis Harbaugh is the daughter of James Ignalls and Bertha Susan (Ringeisen) Harbaugh. Phyllis Bodine is named as a surviving sister in the obituary of Warren C. Harbaugh in The Hutchinson (KS) News of 24 April 2007.

Phyllis Irene (Harbaugh) Bodine, 94, died Saturday, June 15, 2019, in Russell. She was born March 27, 1925, southwest of Russell, to James and Bertha (Ringeisen) Harbaugh. She married Bob Bodine in 1946. She worked at First National Bank of Colorado Springs, where she worked in various roles until her retirement in 1985. Survivors include a sister, Bonnie. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Russell City Cemetery, Russell; burial of ashes will follow the graveside service. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell, is in charge of arrangements.
