Travis Webb, 79, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Carey Cemetery in Carey with the Rev. Alan Egerton officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home of Childress. Mr. Webb was born Sept. 14, 1932, in Sulphur Springs to Ozzie and Roxie Simpson Webb. He married Jackie Bodine on Jan. 6, 1956, in Wellington. Survivors include his wife of Amarillo; a son, Joe Webb of Merritt Island, Fla.; a sister, Lavon Crabtree of Kirkland; and a brother, Ralph Webb of Lubbock. Graveside services for Gatha Mae "Jackie" Bodine Webb were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at Carey Cemetery with Alan Egerton officiating. Mrs. Webb passed from this life on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Jackie was born on Oct. 20, 1935, to Chester Otto and Cordelia Ammons Bodine in Cheyenne, Okla. She married James Travis Webb, and from this union, they had one child, Joe Webb. Jackie worked as a bookkeeper and also at Gorey's and Hawbaker's Auctions. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Amarillo. She was also an avid animal lover, except for skunks and snakes, and loved to paint and go to flea markets and garage sales. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Joe Webb, of Merritt Island, Fla., and her longtime special friends and neighbors, Jeff and Mattie Roof, Dewayne and Lorie Ellis and Mike and Chandra Graf, all of Amarillo. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Travis Webb; her parents, Chester Otto and Cordelia Bodine; sister Billie June Wahley, Paula Jean Vick; and brothers Winston Bodine and Donald Bodine. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the ASPCA Human Society.
