Harry A. Bodine, 57, of 8802 Ida-Maybee Rd. died at 12:28 p.m. Sunday in Herrick Memorial Hospital, Tecumseh. He had been in the hospital eight days. Death was caused by complications of hip surgery. Friends may call after 7 tonight in the Liedel Funeral Home, Maybee. He will lie in state Wednesday in Maybee Congregational Church from 10 a.m. until services at 11. The Rev. Don A. Brown will officiate and burial will be in North Side Cemetery, Maybee. Born Dec. 20, 1928, in Maybee, he was the son of Ben C. and Lucille (Yost) Bodine. He was married April 22, 1950, to Betty Wain in the Maybee Congregational Church. He had been employed as a machine operator by Tecumseh Products for several years. Mr. Bodine attended Maybee Public Schools and was a 1946 graduate of Dundee High School. He was a lifetime member and trustee of the Maybee church, where he served as superintendent for 25 years, served on the adult advisory board for several years and also served as song leader. He is survived by his wife; four sons, Ronald of Dundee, Ben of Flat Rock, Daniel of Royal Oak and Jeffery of Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Vickie) Kidd of Monroe and Jan Bodine at home; a brother, Lowell B. of Monroe, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lennon. Memorials may be made to the Maybee Congregational Church.
