I found a death record for John Bodine in Silver Bow County, Montana, dated 10 Feb 1923. That would be Butte MT. They had a huge copper mine there. Hope this helps.

1st marriage--1902--PEARL R. FISHER.
On 27 Aug 1902, John C. Bodine married Pearl R. Fisher in St. Joseph County, Indiana.

In 1880, Rosetta O. Fisher, age 1, lived with her parents Oliver B. & Ella Fisher in Union, St. Joseph Co., IN and Pearl R. Fisher, born April 1879, was living 1900 with her parents Oliver and Ella Fisher in Liberty Twp., St. Joseph Co., Indiana. On 27 May 1918 in St. Joseph, Berrien Co., MI, Pearl Fisher, 39, daughter of Oliver Fisher, married Monitor Robertson, both residents of South Bend, Indiana. Pearl Fisher was married once previously.

From the Indiana Death Certificate of Pearl R. Robertson, widow, born 24 April 1879 in Indiana, dau. of Oliver B. & Ella Fisher, died 13 Oct 1955 in South Bend, St. Joseph County, buried Southlawn Cemetery. Bruce O. Fisher of South Bend, informant.

Mrs. Pearl Robertson, 1408 S. Main St., died at 8:25 p.m. Thursday in the Frame Nursing Home after three years' illness. She was born in Lakeville April 24, 1879, and moved to South Bend in 1946. On May 21, 1918, she married Monitor Robertson, who died Nov. 4, 1946. Surviving are a brother, Bruce O. Fisher, and a sister, Miss Helen M. Fisher, both of South Bend. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Hay Funeral Home here funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. J. D. Hamel, pastor of First Brethren church, will officiate. Burial will be n Southlawn Cemetery.

John Bodine, 36, widower, born in South Bend, Indiana, son of Cassius & Josephine (Kemp) Bodine AND Bessie Q. Mingus, 30, widow, born in Virginia City, Nevada, dau. of Michael & Annie (Egan) Quill, were married 30 Jan 1918 at Butte by John Doran, J.P. [Note: Bessie was the widow of Frank James Mingus (1883-1917). In 1900, as Bessie Quill, born March 1887 in Nevada, she lived with her parents and siblings in Butte, Silver Bow County.]

On 12 Sept 1918 in Shoshone County, Idaho, Jack Cassius Bodine registered for the World War I draft, reporting that he worked as a sawyer for La Vigne Brothers of Marble Creek, Idaho and that his next of kin was Bessie Bodine of Saltese, Montana. In 1920, John Bodine lived in White Knob, Custer County, Idaho employed as a miner at a copper mine. He reported he was married, but his wife was living elsewhere.

From the Montana Death Certificate of John Bodine, date of birth unknown, son of Cash Bodine, died of pneumonia 10 Feb 1923 in Butte, Silver Bow County, buried Holy Cross, Daly, Shea County. Bessie Bodine, of Butte, informant.

The funeral of John Bodine was held Monday morning from the Daly-Shea undertaking rooms, proceeding to Sacred Heart church, where mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father Taylor. Interment was in Holy Cross cemetery, the Rev. Father Joyce officiating at the grave. The pallbearers were: Will McNichols, Joe Manning, A. E. Hill, Frank B. Forest, Harry Reid and Ralph Attfield.

John and Bessie Bodine divorced and in 1930, as Bessie Mingus, 40, divorced, lived in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon with four of her Mingus children. Thereafter, Bessie remarried and is named in the 6 May 1938 obituary (Montana Butte Standard) of her brother Ambrose Quill as Mrs. Bessie Vinyard of Grass Valley, California.

1940 Grass Valley, Nevada Co., CA: Mable EDDY 61 CA widow, Frances COGAN 45 NV widow lodger, Bessie VINEYARD 51 NV widow lodger.

On 16 Oct 1940, James Joseph Mingus of Grass Valley, California registered for the World War II Draft and named his mother, Mrs. Bessie Elizabeth Vineyard, of Grass Valley, as his next of kin.

The 17 June 1964 obituary of her sister Julia A. Quill in the Montana Standard-Post again refers to her as Mrs. Bessie Vinyard of Grass Valley. She is Mrs. Bessie Vinyard in the 1966 Grass Valley City Directory. Bessie died 15 Sept 1967 and was buried in New Elm Ridge Cemetery, Grass Valley sharing a grave marker with her sister Frances Quill Cogan (1888-1963).

Margaret E. Vinyard, born 1 Aug 1883 who died 18 Sept 1967 in Alameda County. Mother's maiden name was Egan.

Grass Valley---Funeral services were held today in the Hooper-Weaver Chapel for Margaret E. "Bessie" Vineyard, 73, a resident of Grass Valley since 1929. A native of Virginia City, Nev., she died Monday in an Oakland convalescent hospital. Survivors include sons, George W. and James Mingus, both of Oakland; a daughter, Evelyn Hodge of Miami, Fla.; sister, Rosie Calpin of Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
