Mrs. H. W. Bodine, 69, married, dau. of John & Tempie J. Ricketts, died 5 May 1935 in Guntersville, Marshall County.
Henry Bodine, widowed, born 22 Feb 1868, son of Frank & Elizabeth (Roper) Bodine, died 11 June 1943 in Guntersville, Marshall County.

Mrs. H. W. Bodine died Sunday afternoon at the family home in South Guntersville following an extended illness. Mrs. Bodine was a good Christian woman and will be sadly missed by family and friends. She was 69 years of age and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ricketts, of Big Spring valley. She was a member of the Baptist church. To mourn her death she leaves her husband, two sons, M. G. and C. E. Bodine, and hosts of friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Bob Isdell Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with interment at the Sim Smith cemetery near Sidney, direction Johnson.

Henry W. Bodine died last Friday morning about 7:30 at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Munford Bodine, in South Guntersville. His sudden and unexpected death was a great shock to relatives and friends. He was found dead in bed by some of his grandchildren a few moments after Mrs. Bodine left home for work. Mr. Bodine was a native of Marshall county and had many friends throghout the county. For many years he was engaged in farming in Big Spring valley, a few miles south of town, and at one time was engaged in the merchantile business in Guntersville. His wife preceded him to the grave several years ago. He was 72 years of age. Surviving is one son, Elbert Bodine, of Tennessee; his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Munford Bodine; several grandchildren and other relatives. Interment took place Saturday afternoon at 4:30 in the Smith cemetery in Big Spring valley, Rev. J. O. Richardson conducting funeral services, Drnkard in charge of arrangements.
